On November 2nd, 1947, Howard Hughes' legendary plane, the Spruce Goose, took its first and only flight. Some might consider the "World's Largest Flying Boat" a failure because it was made of wood and reached a maximum altitude of only 70 feet. But the Sock Club team sees a great story of overcoming the impossible. That's why your November sock, the Hughes, is inspired by the Spruce Goose, with the small crosses representing propellers gliding over the blue of the ocean. One might also notice that its colors are the 'Hughes' of the winter season.
As always, we would love to see your photos and comments about the socks! Please visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/sockclub and share it with all your friends and family (many of whom made this delivery possible for you).
