If it were possible, let's just say, to have the absolute perfect day
Not saying it is and not saying you will, but if it were so, what would you fill
The moments and minutes quickly departing with? Pressuring you, before even starting it
Or let's think in a different way. What do you reckon old Plato might say?
He might suggest we think metaphysical. For to imagine a day that's so paradisical
In some small way it must exist. Outside our realm within the abyss.
And today is merely a shadow you see. Of what a perfect day might be.

What's that you ask? What are my thoughts? Well I'm no Plato, but I know I've bought.
That there's more to this world than we perceive and we should get outside and make believe
So out the house! Up and at 'em! These dark shadows aren't what matter.
There's a whole bright world for us out there! And you and I are the perfect pair
To find the ideal tree to climb with those moments and minutes and pieces of time
And It'll be different, just wait, you'll see! Because I'll be there, and you with me.
